Why I chose to practice Ayurveda
I discovered Ayurveda back in 2001 whilst travelling in India. and Sri Lanka. Applying Ayurvedic principles always felt natural to me and it helped me live a very blessed healthful life. But it wasn't until recently, through my own suffering with perimenopause symptoms that I fully realised the profound power of Ayurveda. The Ayurvedic treatment I received allowed me to learn through my own body that Ayurveda has huge potential in the modern world to relieve unnecessary suffering.
What I love about Ayurveda is that it looks at the whole person and understands the importance of the interconnectedness of the health of one's body, mind and spirit. Unlike conventional medicine which is a disease based approach and which looks to cure the symptoms, Ayurveda addresses the root cause of the symptoms, restoring balance, harmony and perfect health naturally.
I'm a qualified Ayurvedic Nutrition + Lifestyle Consultant and am furthering my studies with the Ayurveda Institute UK to become an Ayurvedic Practitioner.
